Downtown Murals
Calle 16 is an art and mural project in downtown Phoenix based around Barrio Cafe, and sponsored by Chef Silvana Salcido Esparza. The project runs the length of 16th street from Thomas Rd to Roosevelt Rd. The murals have spilled over into the alleyways and backlots all over this area. It is the gateway to the Phoenix Arts District, and is one of my favorite places on town.
